Week 1 and further information on Buenos Aires

Here you have a couple of general location maps: hotels and airport (1=Aeroparque, 2 and 3 hotels) and Ciudad Universitaria and other interesting places (1=Ciudad Universitaria, 2=Aeroparque, 3=Plaza Italia, 4=Obelisco, 5=Plaza de Mayo, 6=Puerto Madero).

Transportation

From the international airport to your housing destination in Buenos Aires. It is suggested that you take a taxi in one of the official stands or the Manuel Tienda Leon bus. The trip to the city lasts approx. 40 minutes and the cost by taxi should be approx. . Another option: take the Manuel Tienda Leon bus to Aeroparque (this is the airport for domestic flights). From Aeroparque to Palermo, Belgrano or Ciudad Universitaria it is a shorter trip in taxi (about USD 10 during the day, 20% more at night).

If you arrive by bus: it is suggested that you take a taxi from the bus terminal directly to your destination. For example, a trip from Retiro to Belgrano should be around USD 10.

Course location

All courses will take place at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, Pabellón I.

The Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (School of Exact and Natural Sciences) of the University of Buenos Aires is located in Ciudad Universitaria at the North-East corner of the city of Buenos Aires, by the Río de la Plata.
