Research Group on Numerical Methods for PDEs and Related Analysis Topics : Our group is devoted to the study of numerical methods for partial differential equations and systems of interest in combustion theory, fluid mechanics or in general, reaction diffusion processes. We propose and analyze new numerical schemes for the approximation of the solutions and compare some of the usual numerical models with the continuous ones looking for blow up of solutions, spurious steady states, equilibrium of steady states and other geometrical properties of the systems under consideration. Moreover, we study related analysis topics such as Poincaré and Korn inequalities, and weighted estimates in non-smooth domains. |
