This is the fifth Symposium in the series that has been taking place in Argentina since 1994. Previous meetings were held in 1994, 2000 and 2005 in Buenos Aires, and in 2009 in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

In this occasion we dedicate the Symposium to honor Professor Noemi Wolanski's contributions. To that intent we will gather specialists in the area of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations and Free Boundary Problems with researchers, graduate students and young doctors from Argentina and other countries in order to present the recent advances and techniques in the field.

We wish to generate a suitable environment for discussion and development of new collaborations. In order to achieve this purpose we will avoid having a great number of lectures and their superposition. In this way, we will let some free time to promote informal conversations among participants.

The Symposium will take place at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, December 18th to 21st, 2017.

There will be a poster session and contributed talks in order for researchers in the field to present their results to the audience. 
Also there will be a small number of grants to attend the symposium.
