To celebrate Professor Enrique Lami-Dozo's 70th birthday we organize a PDE special day in his honor.
A number of well-known specialists in the area of nonlinear analysis and PDEs whose work has been closely related to Enrique's will deliver a series of lectures.
The event will be hosted by the Mathematics Department of the School of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires and the Mathematical institute "Luis A. Santaló" of CONICET.
The talks will be delivered at the Federman seminar room in the Physics Department. The schedule of the talks is:
- 10hs: Inauguration
- 10.05hs - 11hs: Noemí Wolanski, UBA - Large time behavior for a nonlocal diffusion equation in domains with holes.
- 11hs - 11.30hs: Coffee break
- 11:30hs - 12:25hs: Julio Rossi, UBA - Perimeter and curvature of a measurable set.
- 12:25hs - 14hs: Lunch
- 14hs - 14.55hs: Pablo Amster, UBA - Applications of topological degree theory to some differential equations.
- 15hs - 15.55hs: Manuel Elgueta, PUC (Chile) - Random walks and the porus medium equation.
- 15.55 - 16.25hs: Coffee break
- 16:25 - 17:20hs: Julián Fernández Bonder, UBA - Some homogenization results for nonlinear eigenvalue problems with indefinite weights.
Participants are welcome to celebrate with us this special occasion. There is no registration fee.
There will be a dinner in Enrique's honor the 28th. Every one is welcome to join us. For this you will need to register until friday 25th by mail to Julián Fernández Bonder.
