Warning on possible ICM Satellites lodging scam
Some Invited Speakers of ICM 2018 Satellite Events, including the K-theory conference, were approached by telephone by people purporting to help with the booking of accommodation and requesting your credit card information. Some of those people claim to work for Expo Housing Services, a US based company. This is a scam.
The K-theory conference Organizing Committee has no relation whatsoever with Expo Housing Services. None of our partner hotels will take the *initiative* to get in touch with Participants to offer accommodation, and no one is authorized by the Organizing Committee to do it.
